You wanna know whats funny? Compare the stats of Manning to Pennington from 2000 on(the year Pennington came into the league) they have both a 66% comp. %, damn thats odd, when you put it in retrospect Pennington is no longer the best, Considering Manning threw ~3,600 more attempts and still had the same exact comp. %, to me that says great. Not someone that held the same percentage with only 1/3 of the attempts, that says to me washed up. Argue it all you want but its pretty clear.
Pennington missed a lot of time. His CMP% may have fallen off during that time, or it may have climbed even higher. Who knows?
Because the stat is flawed, theres to many factors in it. Listen to them talk on tv, I cant tell you the last time Pennington's name popped up as "the most accurate qb ever" because some number says so. People that watch football understand that this stat is flawed, but clearly you cant grasp that.
