no how about 16 L7 8s ooppppppppssssssss..................................... me and skip01 will do some test with the L7 8s hopefully this weekend going to use 4 8s on a 40.1 at .5 and see what numbers we get out of them will keep people posted!

i wish you guys didn't live so far away where i could help out ...it sounds like a fun project

uhhh apparently you havnt seen a certain van with some boring square subs that hits really boring numbers too
but i cant say i like the square subs either although 8 solo x 18's in a van was more then interesting.

meh, yeah with enough subs and the right box anyhting will put up decent numbers...

for that kinda money you can get circular subs that'll do even greater damage

As much as I want a wall with 2 18's...I would also love to be loud as piss with an 8" or 2. How much power can the 1508s take daily? Or how much power would they need to be loud?

squares are too easy to calculate.... bad news tho.... squares are not in my agenda.... i have never ever liked them... i have never seen a square sub setup impress me.... people with walls of 4 18" solo x's.... boring and the numbers havent been that impressive either.

i was basically talking about cone area...i never had any luck with single L series 8's...not like a single 1508 ...but again I've never experimented with multiples even two or more....they may get pretty impressive in multiples....the single RE8 outperformed my single L7 and L5 I've tried both ported and sealed boxes .....but I have a L7 10 in a truck port style box on 500 watts I was quite impressed with.......

ya, maybe in mass multiples of 8's may preform well... still to date tho, i would never choose a square over circular.

wiring is fun at first and then i start questioning myself.... all my builds have always been at least 3 subs... no less... lol

it depends on what is needed for what application...but once you get to a certain point it is hard to get much louder....the 12's set up right will get better low end than 8's....in single applications the 12 will be louder and hit lower when set up right....
