alright so im running a stetsom 7k2d in my truck on 4 btls and have a limited amount of spce for batteries. im down to 2 Kinetik 2400's or 6 1400's... i cant put a toolbox in the bed either, so those are really my options and maybe add 2 more 1400's later. do u think the 2400 option would be enough for the amp with a stock alot and running at 1 ohm...?

For daily, with a stock alt? Not good enough to get all you could out of your system. But to run it adequately? Maybe, depends on a lot of things besides your equipment choice.

I just dont understand why people spend thousands on big systems but are unwilling to shell out a few hundred for an alt to allow the equipment to perform as its meant to.

Why not use the 2 3800s your sig says that you have?

i am getting an alt i just ownt beable to have it for a couple months. i understand where you are coming from about that my other vehicle has one. i just need to get everything else in for now.

and about the 3800's. wont fit. a little taller than i expected.

Stock alt will really hold back the power the amp can product especially when being run hard. And could potentially hurt amp if voltage gets to low while running hard. Two 2400's is minimum what I'd suggest but I'd require a 250+ amp alt also .

For daily, i doubt even 2 2400's would be enough. I recommend @ least 3 Group 31 type batteries. The 6 1400 kinetik should be a better bet. These amps dont like anything below 11volts.
