I have a side post battery in one of my cars that i plan on doing the system in. Ive never hooked up a power cable to a side post battery, are there special terminals for this? Also, id like to wire up another alternator in place of my smog pump (which has been removed along with cat. converter and all other emmisions bullshit) How do i go about adding another alternator and battery? Im running 2 small 800w amps to my front and rear components (4 in front and 4 in back), and a 4000 to my subs (CV stroker 15s") so thats why im planning on all this. Havent picked a head unit yet but i plan on maybe a kenwood excelon, or whatever i can find with 4 5v or 8v preamp outs. Perhaps you guys could offer some input

The car is a 80 pontiac bonneville with 3.8 v6, btw

I have 4 but im only running 2 in the car. 4 would be a bit much. Im planning on putting the other 2 in my house but waiting for box to get done.

Side terminals are easy, you can got to Autozone or Oriellys and get extended GM posts that have external screw on them to add wire. I run almost 2500 watts and 0 gauge big 3 off of side posts. Just one HO alternator would work, but may be hard to find for that car. you could look into having that rewound for more power or check with powermaster, iraggi, High Output or Mean green alternators
