batteries

ok guys i have some questions about batteries. fists off heres what im gonna be running. i have 2 rockford fosgate 500.2 amps for the sub and a rockford fosgate 50.2 for the fronts. the sub is a hifonics goliath 2400 watt sub. pics are in my gallery. im gonna run 0 gauge wire form the front to a distro the 4 gauge to the sub amps and 8 gauge to the 50.2. big 3 will be done in 0 along with a upgrade 130 amp alt eventually.

on to my question. i'd like to run 2 batteries, and i'd prefer to keep them both up front. so i need some smaller batteries. i have acess to just about any odessey battery made and i was thinkin about running 2 pc925's. i think they'll fit pretty well under the hood. what im wondering is are they gonna be enough or should i go with something bigger. keep in mind that im not lookin to go with another brand of battery, because i can get these for next to nothing. im also planing on running a batery isolator. something like the stinger sr200 or the pac-200.

any input, ideas or suggestions are welcome.

yea im gonna run 2 amps to one sub. because thats what i have. and together they'll be just the right amount of power. i dont have it installed yet. the alternator is the factory one i believe its 80 amps. i could run one large battery but im kind of strapped for space under the hood. i can go about 12 inches by 7 inches by 7 inches tall.

how are you going to run two amps to one sub? its a bad idea to bridge two amps and run one to each voice coil from what i have read on here. and being that those amps are 10 years old im sure they arent strappable

Sorry i got distracted by the whole 2 amps 1 sub thing...don't know anything about those batteries you can get but dont waste your time with a 130 amp alt...my car is stock with a 130 and it isnt enough power...id go straight with the 200amp

ok this is a noob question but what is strappable. as for running 2 amps to one sub, the sub is a quad 2 ohm. the amps are exactly the same. i talked to a guy from hifonics and he said it would be fine to run 2 amps to the sub. this is all i have to work with also. i'm sure there are better options but i see no reason why this wont work. but maybe im wrong. i am by no means a car audio expert. as for the alternator im not really sure where i can find a bigger one to fit my car. 130 is the biggest i've found thats a bolt in. thats why i was lookin into an extra battery. also i cnat really just go out and spend $400 or $500 on an alternator right now.

the shuriken bt20 or bt35 batteries are 1/2 the size and the same power or more. regardless of what battery you use goto onlinecarstereo and get an mlx-100 amp module it will allow you to safely strap those 2 amps i used it to strap 2 old school p6000bd amps to a 12 inch goliath.

as for the brand u want to use the 1700 is a better option if you can fit it in i would do that up front as a mian battery and 2 925 in the rear or up front if thats where they will fit. and ditch the relay if you can especially if you replace the main battery.

right on thanks for the info guys. ill have to measure to see if i can fit the 1700 up front. i think i can. basically i have to go with odyssey as i work at the factory that makes them and i get them for next to nothing. like pennies on the dollar i guess u could say. would i be alright if i put the 925's in the rear with out a battery box? its a hatchback, and the extra battery would be in the spare tire well under the box. would it be etter if i just got 2 1700s. i was really wanting to go with smaller batteries to save on weight but if its better to go bigger i can do that. and another question. the amps i have have pass thrus on them so i can link the 2 sub amps together. is that the same as what the hifonics mlx-100 will do? and how did you like the golioath sic? is it the same one that i have? (pics in my gallery)

again thanks for all the info
