Batt q?

Okay, so I need a new batt before I can get my car back on the road... I want a kinetik, because Ive heard so many good things about them. The question is, Could I use a 600 as my batt up front, and put another 600 in the hatch, or an 800 in the front and a 600 in the hatch? Or would it be not enough. I think the 600 has more cca than most batts (oem replacement type like you get at an auto parts store).. but im not sure. Anyone ever have a small kinetik as the starting batt?

You should be able to run that setup without problems....

depends on how big your system is. we had driffters use the 600 and 800's as starter batteries when i worked at kinetik. but if you are pushing over 1000 watts up too 1500a 1400 would be best and if the car is a daily driven i would go bigger reguardless

Well, my total system draw, including engine management systems and electric cooling fans, will be about 140 amps (Yes, I know I need a bigger alternator), but for now Im going to use my clutch fan to bring it down to 100 amps total draw... I want to get a 2400 to put in my trunk and be done with it, but theyre expensive and I need something to get me until then

Their prices are not too bad. IMO, you could do a lot worse. The HC2400 runs just over $300 shipped from Sonic, compared to $450 + shipping from Kinetik's online store.

Yeah, but that wont fit under my hood.... or my wallet. I need a HO alt before an uberbattery. What good is a lot of amps with a piss poor 80 amp alty.

an 80 amp alt would cover what an hc800 would cover....how kinetik rates their batteries take the model number and thats as many watts its good for. you can pretty much determin that size for size vs other batteries as well....

hmm.. I just need a good quality OEM style batt, and an HO alt.... then Ill look into getting a good batt... and much thicker wire all around. 2awg is teh tiny.
