Bat's in the Attic

I heard some squeaking noise coming from the attic and thought it was mice...so I went up the stairway into the attic to see and discovered a colony of bat's had moved in //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif ...Does any one know the best way to get rid of them //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif...Im thinking bug bombs....if i had to guess it looked like about 1000 of them...

Catch them with a butterfly net an send them to me! I love bats and they eat mosquitos. I'd build some bat houses outside in our backyard, so they would hopefully stay in the area and eat our mosquitos. They're really bad in this area and you can't sit outside at night without being eaten up. Heck, we have extra space in our attic if that's what they like

Hell no! Central Illinois is not wat I consider "far North". I lived in Iowa and Wisconsin before here, and they had mosquitos really bad too.

We went backpacking in Northern Minnesota for a week in the Boundary Waters. Even on the Canada border, there were still a bunch of mosquitos during the summer

Sort of, it's not too far away. I'm on the edge of Springfield.

Bats are supposed to be a protected animal/species..At least they are here in Tx.If you want to get rid of them, you need to call animal control,or a game warden.You could actually do some jail time if you mess with them.Hell they eat all kinds of bugs.

Hell they may just be passing through headed to Mexico before the winter..They may only stay for a week or two
