Batcap Super Cap

u got one 1500 and just one battery the batcap 2000, and big 3 done. What size alt.
Whats your voltage droping to
yeah.. I was told the batcap 2000 should be able to handle 1500 rms just fine. 90 amp alt. I think it is an issue with my ground hence why I bought more wire to run a ground from the back battery to the front battery. voltage dips as low as 11.8 on certain songs. usually stays between 12-12.4 volts at full tilt.. it trickles down that low it is not something that happens immediately. thats why i think it is a ground issue. in the event it is not though, i found a **** good deal on a super cap and I am not sure how long it will last.

well if its around 150 i would jsut pickup an actual battery for that price. You can find batcap 800's which should bring the voltage up to 13 volts steady for around 125 shipped

the ONLY reason i was looking at the super cap is the fact it recharges extremely fast (according to them, 100x faster than a battery). so, I figured with the batcap 2000 and the super cap .. it "should" stabilize my volts with the cap giving my amps the current it needs when it demands and the ability to recharge the current given, faster. at least that is how i played it out in my head lol. I assume that an 800 recharges no where near as fast at the super cap. your probably right though

Dude.... I thought you knew by now, the cap is NOT going to help you one bit. I am 100% sure of that. You should already have plenty of power on hand to run that system. Even if you bought 100 more huge batteries, you are going to keep having problems. You have something either wired wrong, or a defective product somewhere. You need to figure out the problem and quit throwing money at it. Everything you buy is going to be a band aid for your real problem.

batcap 800 is like 70% cap and 30% battery so should help out more than a cap

The SQ guys seem to like caps, but most people shouldn't worry about running one.
Caps have their place in your electrical system for sure. It is just that they are not made to beef up a poor electrical system. If your electrical is already beefed up and solid, adding a cap can add some filtering and clean the power input. It will NOT power your subs. That is the big misconception out there.

Yes it will, I have capacitors hooked up to my voice coils //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif
LOL, well I'll be! No need for those pesky amps then //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
