I have a batcap 800 that I have had around for about 4 yrs and it's dead. Is there anyway I can charge it without buying batcap's expensive battery charger? Which I think is really excessive for such a small battery. And If I can charge it, is there any special way this has to be done?

Basically. It will take a long time, but would be the best option. Or if you own a nice charger with a deep cycle option. Buying a trickle charger is cheap, tho.

However, there's no guarantee's anything will work. I would say charge the battery like mentioned, connect it to your system for a day, and then check the voltage on it the next morning.
