There are a few different ones. I've never used them but it looks somple enough.

Just remember if you do set your gains with that hooked up to make sure and turn it all the way to the "max" setting prior

That seems like an odd question. It feels like you are asking if it can be trusted to give your drunk girlfriend a ride home when you dont feel like leaving the party just yet.

well because i looked it up and i saw it before and i read things between the build of the remote seemed a little crappy and that it seemed as if the button could fall off. then also that the remote kind of distorts the signal that it gives feedback. stuff like that.

Ive never used that knob, but generally speaking, gain attenuators like that one merely allow full power output from the amplifier only when the knob is set to maximum, based on the gain setting you adjusted to.

If the knob at any time breaks off it probably wouldn't be too hard to head on down to radioshack or something and pickup a knob and just reattach it.

I use that same knob

Very important to set your gain with the knob all the way up.

I have had it for years it works justfine

I also run a MB Quart amp for my sub

Edit: nevermind. turns out my amp actually has a remote gain knob lol. When I got the amp I didn't know about those so I just assumed it was bass boost and never looked. Was about to checkout for that thing and decided to double check...glad I did lol...would have wasted $20
