I just purchased a RF 551x 4Channel amp that comes with a remote bass knob. I am going to be using this amp to power MB Quart premium component speakers. Will I have any reason to use the remote bass knob since I'm not going to be powering subs with this amp? If I use it will it make the speakers sound better/worse? Any help you can give me would be great, thanks!
Don't use it. No need (even if you were using the amp for subs). And it'd only make the speakers sound worse, and in all likelyhood damage them since you would be boosting a frequency they were not designed to play at loud volumes.
