BASS Headphones!!! HELP!

Another brand of great earbud type phones is called epytomics or something??

Don't remember how to spell it.

I went with the shure's cause they're cheaper, don't remember which was actually supposed to be better.

Audio-Technica ATH-D40. Monitor headphones with emphasis on the low end and reasonably flat on the top. Wouldn't make good portable phones as they are pretty big. For a more stationary setup with an amp, they are very nice for a basshead.

Whatever you pick, consider investing in an amp, even a portable one. The mp3 players tend to be low on power as a tradeoff for their size. A good headphone amp will make pretty much any source sound better. I never thought about it before I picked one up. Now I can hardly listen without one.

Aight im going off to college so im selling my car and the sound system in it. For a graduation present i just got the new Creative Zen Vision M MP3 player, but now i just need some heaphones to go with it. I love bass, and i'm gonna need a lil bit of it while im gone. So my situation is i need to find some nice headphones with bass. Im looking for cans under $300 USD, Excellent Bass, Confortable, Long Lasting. I been looking at the Ultrasone HFI-550's but im very open to other ideas. Once again ima bass'aholic //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif. Thanks.

Check out the Selection Guide and that should help you out alot. By the way these guys only sell quality heahphones. Anything you buy there will be a good product. Take note that they DO sell Sennheiser.

yah but im not a fan of earbuds, and i got the Grado SR125, so if they dont need an amp like someone said then i should be all good then.

DROOL

i had a pair of the e3c's, which were the older model, and the bass is incredible.

i was super into headphones and home audio for a while, while i was into car performance (car audio = weight) i can't remember any of the forums anymore, ecoustics.com or something like that? but anyways, search around for reviews, if you're a fan of closed-type headphones (less flat response, more character to the sound) shure are some of the best in the world.
I have a pair of the e3c's also, I've used them for in-ear monitors. I like them a lot. Though I don't know that they'd produce the bass level you want, they do make a bass drum kick sound like it's really behind you.

wtf, headphones with bass and amps... What do you want to feel the rumble of the headphones on your ears? Thats strange, but ok.
It's no different than an SQ oriented home setup or car setup; just on a smaller level. Haven't you ever wanted to have badass sounding audio when on the move, outside of your car or away from your home? Good headphones rock.

Etymotics are amazing. I have the er-4p. Most detailed headphones/earphones I have ever heard. No speaker I have ever heard comes close to how good these sound. They will not have the extreme bass, but they sure make up for it in the clarity of the music. You WILL hear things in the song that you never heard before.

My favorite bass headphones are the Sennheiser 212 Pros. They're the ones I use prettymuch all the time. I have a heard quite a few headphones but these are the best I've heard for tight bass. I really like the sound of Sennheiser headphones, but the 212 pros impress me the most and they're only around 50 bucks. I've heard the 650 sennheisers and the highs and mids sound really great but the bass seems about the same. One reason why the bass might sound as good as much more expensive headphones is the fact they are closed and keep the bass in more, not really sure. I dont know if thats what you want but they seal out noise and dont make much noise outside of the headphone like open ones do.

If you do decide to try them out, be warned they take a while to break in. The highs sound really harsh at first but they even out. In short, if you wanna save money and get good bass just get the 212 pros they even come with replaceable cables and cup pieces so if they break you wont have to buy a totally new set. There might be better out there, but if there is I haven't heard it yet.
