I read somewhere that a low E is 41.5 hz.

A lot of the bands I listen to use lower notes, like B, A, A flat, maybe even a G or F //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif Anyone know how low those notes can go. I wondering how much it'll affect my sub decision.....

What got me t thinking is my friend's 15" Memphis PR subs. Maybe his box is too small, but some low notes sounded like ass in his truck. I guess it's what's called "bottoming out".

If I'm reading that right, a bass tuned down to A is hitting 27.5 hz //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif I thought my two pos JBL 10's in a q logic band pass with 70x2 poewr was about as lame as it gets.....but it actually hits some of these lower notes better than some of my friends 12's and 15's in sealed boxes //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

Looks like I need to build my sub setup to play well way low for what I want to hear.

well you would have to tune down to get an a that low on a bass...even with a 5 string, the low B on my 5 string is like 29.395Hz or something like that....pretty darn low

Well I know of one company that makes a bass that has a low F or F# or some crazy **** like that //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif I know some bands tune a B string down to A and I think Staind is at A flat. I'm gonna do some recording with my bass and guitars tuned down to A and I was just wondering what kinda frequencies I was getting down to. I'd like my future system to handle those low notes well //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/cool.gif.3bcaf8f141236c00f8044d07150e34f7.gif

Brahmas are nice. I have a 10" Mk1. Just a single 10 was enough for me.

Those look like decent cheaper options for sure and probably fine for some systems, but I agree, Audiocontrol has been making high quality stuff...
