My brother has a 99 Z71 Pickup truck and he's putting a different sound system in it. He's basically wanting to put some different speakers, 1 amp, already has the subs.

Just going to run 2 10" Rockford Fostgate el cheapos right now. He bought them from a friend..

Give me a basic sound system thats sounds good?

He's only got around $100 for speakers. AMP around 150 or so. He has a JVC head unit..

Thanks for all your help!

what are the coil configs on the subs, do you already have an enclosure, what model are they.

Find some cheap components to run and an external 2 channel amp. and pick up a mono amp for the subs.

grab a 4 gauge wire kit off ebay or used.

I subs I have are these. Model # P110S4. I know there not the best..

I already have the encloser. Its going in a REG Cab full size chevy. It fits well in the back. I bought the box and subs from my friend.

I'm looking at this for a AMP: Boss Audio CX1100M

Speakers: I still have no clue on what to get..

I'm still open to suggestions..//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Stay away from that amp. You want something that will do actual power.

Whats your budget? 250 I would guess for the amps and speakers.

Can you install components? Or do you like the ease of coaxiels?

Components usually recommended for low budget is :

PG RSD's

Pioneer Revs

Cadence Previously listed.

For coaxiels you have a lot more options.

You might want to check out the mounting depth available for your vehicle, that may restrict some options unless you know how to make door pods or don't roll your windows down.

For those subs you need 300 watts at 2 ohms. That is easily found used for about 80$

Door speakers you could buy new and they will still be cheap.

Door speaker amp could easily be found in used for 60-80$ depending what you want.

Thats about right on my budget. I would perfer to do coxials instead of components.

Those kenwood bridged put out 100x2@4 You could probably pick up the dirty one for 60$ shipped

The bazooka is rated a little high. But you only need 300 watts @ 2ohms anyways, you could probably pick it up for 80 shipped or both for 130 shipped or maybe less.
