well just as where an asterisk is used anywhere else. its used as a footnote. and probably if bonds were to have an asterisk next to his records it would be a footnote of "numbers were due to steroid use" or of that nature.

springy101 do you actually believe that? i mean i'm a die hard Giants fan and i love bonds to death but i mean the evidence is right in front of us. I think he's done steroids but I for one will not use steroids as an exuse for his numbers. i believe this man has that type of skill. he was the greatest before he took "steroids" and still is the best. I mean he was named the player of the 90's. but with that said i still think he did steroids though.

this discussion is not whether or not he did use performance enhancing drugs...because he did plain and simple. at my college gym (UF) I can immediately spot the kids who are on roids without question. Barry def. used some sort of drugs but until he admits to it (possibly years after he breaks the HR record) it will be a dark cloud over his name.
