he was taking steroids before mcgwire got the hr record. just look at him in pitsburgh, and him now. also as a human being, he is an ******* and have no respect for him. i hope someone shoots him before he breaks ruth or aaron's record. i'll loose any passion for major league baseball, if i have to look in the record books and see his face as the home run champ. it sickens me.

it is not surprising but so many athletes do it you cannot erase all of his records. however, something needs to be done about it.

agreed. the MLB is in a tough situation. You can't put an astrerisk because still as of right now he has not been convicted of anything. But if these allegations in the book are true, bonds is in deep shiet. Might face jail time because he lied to the grand jury.

Nobody would make this stuff up, and then publish it in SI of all magazines. I believe they should ban him from baseball, strip his name from the record books post 1998, and delete him from baseball history. At the very least, he should get the well-renowned asterix (*) by his name. Would have happened to McGwire too if he didn't retire so soon.
