anybody here with a bagged suv ( i have a 2dr s10 blazer 92 ) and just got done bagging it.

still have a few things to do but im planing out my next build.

im wandering if ill need to install 2 bags per side to support all the weight.

im going with a wall as i lost a lot of floor . or i would do a big box with 4-15" but...

so my plan is 4- 12" subs walled.

like i said im in the planing stage and ill start buying but will not install it until the spring as i don't have a sheltered place to work on it.

Neo subs LiFePo battery, Brazilian amp(s), use birch ply and go with a lot of bracing over multiple layers for strength. Cost of saving weight up front may be simpler than worrying about over-building the suspension later.

ya but im sure it will be cheaper then buying all new expensive audio stuff just to save weight.

im not rich. doing 4 bags in the back will only cost about $200 . but im not sure i will need to do that or not.

thats why i was asking and hoping somebody has a bagged suv/truck with a big system. get there input.

the only thing i know right now is , im keeping my batteries, amps , and im doing a wall with 4- 12" . that will bring some weight up closer to the front.

the batteries are going in front of the wall , in a custom made enclosure.

air tank is going over axle , comps are going in front of rear wheels on frame.

as in trying to get most weight in middle of truck.

but im may go with fewer better batteries then the 7 small batteries i got off of here.

may not save to much weight but ill gain a little more room. as im loosing room very fast in this small s10 blazer.

with air system and audio system.

You will be fine with just the 2 bags. I don't know of anyone that runs 4 bags on the rear. My dually is bagged and I tow with it. Loaded car trailer, boat, equipment trailer with skid loader, etc. Might require you to run 15-20 more psi in the bags to achieve same ride height you had without the weight but that's about it. Just run a quality shock to control the dampening with the added weight

Well you didn't mention you already had all the audio equipment.

Really though we need LiFePo to become more affordable because size/weight savings is enormous.

Don't know if your aware or not but a company sells a kit to add on-board air to your blazer and others. Only would need the 1 pump the and its a engine driven pump so no electric pump humming. I built my own kit twice by just copying what I saw in the pics mounts and all that I built my system for under $100 and you get endless supply of air at up to 300psi if desired but you would prob be ok with only 60 to 90psi. I even saw a setup that had auto ride hight control , no matter how much weight you add it automatically adds more air to maintain the same ride hight. It's probably more complex of a system than you need but it's another option. It's named Kirby interprises and they use a York piston style a/c compressor that has been modified to pump only air Got my York at the wrecking yard for $20
