then did the 2x4 bracing for the roof...

after final calculations.... the box will be 24 cubed after displacement, and tuned to 32 hz

MUCH more to come tomorrow!

got some more work done today....

got the ceiling up:

tau4z.jpg

then started building the front shell, since the front of the box is actually wider than the rear

5cnkH.jpg

then installed it

m4jlb.jpg

notice the gap

rqC5o.jpg

no more gap!

udSaD.jpg

then doubled up the mdf on the front

oqmnm.jpg

one of the 18's in there... just for a size comparison

pyN0W.jpg

more gap filling, and sealing

6mVDF.jpg

still have a gap in the roof to fill

KyMyl.jpg

WHERE DID THE BACK OF MY CAR GO????

RUkEY.jpg

ok... update for the day....

started by filling the gap in the roof

IqrN4.jpg

then after ALOT of measuring, measuring, measuring, and more measuring... i ended up having to change the angle of the baffles from 45* to 30*, due to the mounting depth and the fact that my AQ's have an 8" motor...

first baffle that finally fit

YRgga.jpg

changing the angle, means i'll have to extend the front of the box 2"

kBb2M.jpg

then double baffled it (dont know why it took it in black and white)

kzdQZ.jpg

lil preview of the bottom part of the clamshell...

qmMne.jpg

eKMna.jpg

shot from the back (of course, i'll need bracing... you can tell how heavy these subs are, with the flex... even with a double baffle, lol)

49rmf.jpg

and just a shot, showing how lil clearance i have... doing a clamshell is a bitch!

7IaoU.jpg

so... thats about 6 hours of work down... not much done, as far big picture... but, atleast got the hardest part done (figuring out the perfect angle)....

stay tuned, more updates tomorrow
