Bad RCA jacks???

Here's my problem: I just hooked up a new amp because I thought my old one had blown a channel; one sub would drive and the other side wouldn't move. So I hooked up the new amp and the same thing is happening. Now I'm wondering if it's the RCA jacks (perhaps one isn't working) or the fact that the AGU fuse on the power wire running to the amp is half torched (one prong is slightly charred and the other is melted). Need help!!!

If the fuse were blown nothing would work, It may be your RCA's that are bad or your preouts on your headunit are bad.

Yeah...that's the other thing. I'm pretty sure I blew my HU and have ordered a new one. So right now nothing works and I'm not sure when the fuse ended up blowing and what damage it caused when it did. I'll get the HU on Fridau, but I wanna get this problem squared away.

SInce you are getting a new HU, I assume your are putting new RCA's as well. It is always wise to replace your RCA wires first since they are cheaper. I have a habit of replacing my RCA wires everytime I change anything, wether it be HU or wiring.
