Bad Magnet????

I recently pulled 2 Eclipse 15" 8400 serries subs from the trunk of a car that had sat outside in the elements for nearly five years. The subs seem to work fine, but heres the problem. The moisture got to the magnet so bad to the point that they are white and rusted. Does this effect performance? I emailed Eclipse for specs and I think they take about 300w rms. Not sure about the overall performance, but I'm more interested in a 4 12" setup. I have a 95' Caprice, so I need power! If any one is interested in these subs, give me a shout. Seems they were pushed by a Son of Colossus Hifonics amp (600x1-4 ohms, 1100x1-2 ohms), cause I also got that out the trunk...unblemished:naughty:

doesnt effect anything as long as the gap is free and clear of debris. Its just an oxide coating, its harmless.

Well i looked at them yesterday and thats what it looks llike. no debris found and i forgot that on eclipse subs, the magnet is surrounded by rubber thats reads, "Eclipse". It really dont look that bad after all and theit actually series 8715.4, ill post pics later today....thanx
