I just bought the E4's today. $299 retail....$150 for me //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gifI haven't heard the E2's, but I've heard the E4's. Pretty da*n good, but not worth the money in my opinion. The ER's perform nearly as well at a third of the price. Then again I'm not a sicko audiophile who demands perfection, I just need something that is comfortable, sounds good, is crisp and clean, and has good sound isolation. And with the ER's different caps (three or two prong canalphone and earplug) you can control the sound isolation a lot.
I have tried every one of the different earbuds. No gain. Currently using the foam (the ones that totally block out outside noise)...I think the positioning & how they fit in your ears makes a big difference, so I guess try to make sure you have them on properly?
Tried those, the foam ones seem to have better responce. Getting use to them now. I just guess these dont really compare to a good set of studio headphones...If you can use the triple flange fittings use em. They worked the best with my E5s.
Being that these were so small I didnt think that they needed it. But Comp sctually sells the little 2 or 3 watt amps, I can get one free so if I still cant get use to them Ill either return them or try out the amp...Just remember, if you're using the 'phones at home, a good headphone amp will really bring out what they're capable of //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
and they're cheap to build //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
Yeah, the benefits aren't that much for the small ones.Being that these were so small I didnt think that they needed it. But Comp sctually sells the little 2 or 3 watt amps, I can get one free so if I still cant get use to them Ill either return them or try out the amp...
