Bad Ground?

I have a PDX4.100 amp powering the mids in my mustang. Im getting a pretty bad whining noise though. I thought maby the ground on the head unit was bad so i ran a new ground for that and im still having the same issue.

I disconnected to RCA from the amp and i am still getting that noise so that pretty much isolates where the noise is coming from. Could this be caused by a bad ground or what else can cause this?

All the connectors on the h/u are soldered on then has heat shrink tube over it. But taking the h/u totally out of the picture it still wines so i know from that, that the h/u is not the prob.

If ur disconnecting the amps signal and it continues then maybe it is on the HU? Unless im not understanding right?
Sry im prob not explaining it right. I have all my mids ran off the alpine amp and when i power on the amp even if the RCA's are not connected to the amp i get a whining noise from the speakers.

double check the ground on the amp again. if that is ok then i would suggest sending in the amp for repair or returning it if you can to exchange for another.
