Ok well here is my problem. I am getting a humming noise from from my components when i turn my h/u on with the car on or off. Also when I turn the h/u on or off my speakers pop. Everything worked fine previously. I disconected my 4ch amp to take it out on sunday afternoon to lay out my custom amp rack. But when I hooked it back up now I getting a humming noise from my speakers. If I turn the h/u volume up past 9 or 10 I don't noticed the noise. I've checked my ground and all my other connections in the truck but still getting the humming noise. I'm not sure what else to look for. Thanks, Jon

Definately a bad ground....Bad grounds can induce speaker pops as well as alternator whines and hums...Scrape all paint off WELL and make sure its a solid ground. Maybe in the spare tire well, backseat bolt, seatbelt, or directly to the frame.

Good luck.

Could be also a bad internal ground in the radio which is feeding into the amp. Grounds the radio to the chasis, and use a paint removal bit and ground the amp to the best location you can.

Thanks for the info. Found the issue, it was a bad ground in the trunk for my amp. I sanded down the paint and then no more noise. It sounds good again. Thanks
