bad for my amp?/?

i have my amp mounted under my passengerseat..and half of it gets covered by my car floor mat...is this dangerous or bad in any way for the amp..

i only do it for a flush look.

i would think so because it's covering half of the amp and it can't dispate heat as well

my ground goes under my seat to the battery under the engine.. i think?

Just follow the wire, and then you will know for a fact where it goes.

probably attatched to a bolt or something...i just checked right now..and it looks like id have to remove my seat to find out...

im a noob..can you please explain why you need to know where my ground wire is?

ah i see thanks...i'll ask them when i take it to the shop tomorow...my amp does get pretty hot

PHSH, I have had 2 setups with giant boxes right ontop of the amp. It gets hot, just know how far is too far.

i'm thinking my ground wire might be why my amp under my seat gets hot (jl 300.4)

i dont know if i should mount it somewhere else when i get a new amp..bleh i wish i knew.

Put it in your trunk where is well ventilated and make sure your ground is no longer than a foot.
