bad day

Cybe - ygm

Insurance company came today. The airbags cost $1300 to replace (OMG)

The insurance company told us that full repairs would be around $6.5k but they didn't completely calculate it because $6.5k would be way higher than the value of the car.

Definitely totalled.

For settlement, I'll get a value equal to the average selling value of a 1995 toyota camry with the options that i have - which includes private and commercial sales. So, I'll guess around $2500-$3000.

Not too bad.

Not sure. Had a few great deals for cars that fell through... right now i'm lookin at buying a slightly damaged 96 camry for $1100... my dads friend says that the interior and exterior are in very very good shape and the hood, headlight, and grill needs replaced. all this could be found at a junkyard very easily. i'll also be able to run minimum coverage so insurance won't be high. i totalled my car, damaged another, and now have 6 points on my liscense, so i'm expecting full coverage to be expensive.

sooo anyone have a good car to sell?

ok after re-reading ur story a couple times , YOU ran the redlight and tboned a sunfire with some lady and her kids in it?

oh well, looks like she got the *** end of the deal, shes gonna have to pay off whoevers car that was since she had no insurance, but atleast you did get mad loot outta the deal ... things could be alot worse //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

yes, i ran the red light and tboned a sunfire.
my insurance company pays off her car too, i thought? and i didnt get mad loot //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif my insurance will go up enough to get that money back from me over the next couple years...

if she has no insurance, then i thaught the crash is instantly her fault even if it WAS your fault because she had no buisness being on the road, she also gets no payment from your insurance company, and also gets hefty tickets + fines

i dunno, thats just what i thaught and was told here in NC , if you have no insurance if ANYTHING happens its your fault because ur not supposed to be in the road in the first place

I think most of the problems with a wrecked car are psychological- regardless of the quality of repairs, you will always see the car in your mind as wrecked, and never be happy, then you will start imagining issues that may have been there all along, but now you are hyper-sensitive because of the wreck/repairs and think it's all related. Not bashing dude, that straight up sucks- I got rid of a '98 Dakota for this reason, couldn't tell it had been t-boned, but all I could remember was how bashed it was even after the repairs (which were excellent)
