heh.
get up at 10, head out to discount tires direct to pick up a new set of 17" enkei j10 wheels and some pretty nice tires (so the guy says)

go out to Rome Hilliard Road (from Grove City, about 15 minute drive north) and pick up the wheels, and they look like just about the best thing to ever happen to my car.

driving home from rome hilliard road i figure i should get an alignment... the car has been pulling lately and i didn't want the treads on my new tires to wear too fast.
i decide that the freeway is boring and that i wanted to take side roads to 315 south (about 10 minutes north of Grove City, and about 15 minutes east of Rome Hilliard... the alignment place Bee-Line is about 5 minutes north of grove city on 71)
so in taking side roads to 315 i have to drive through a pretty bad part of town. this is probably the bottoms of columbus. and as i found out, the streets are not very driver-friendly.
so i take a right turn from the main road, west broad, to travel south to west town street, then another right to get to the on-ramp for 315 south, where i need to go.
i look up and see a green light. so my foot's on the accelerator. and i'm going about 30. and coming from my left side a silver pontiac sunfire finds my liscense plate directly in the center of the passenger side door.

there happened to be two intersections really close to eachother. one was town and sandusky, the other was town and plato, and they were probably about 150-200 feet away from eachother and not synchronized. i saw the green light from the second intersection but the first intersection light for me was red.
my car is probably totalled. her car is probably totalled.
so i run up to her and she's really pissed off, she doesn't have insurance and the car isnt even her's. so i just call the police and they show up with a cop car, two ambulences and a fire truck.
there were two young boys, probably 6 or 7, riding in the passenger side of the sunfire. they both looked completely fine, but the lady said that one of them was hurt.
bluebook value on a 95 camry is $2,500. just got nice new rims put on the car, have done many many many many hours of work on the car, and it was all nearing the end just recently, and now that's all gone.
i'm just very glad that discount tires direct allowed for a full refund of the rims and tires upon hearing about my accident. i had put less than 25 miles on them.
this blows.
thanks for reading. and please buy from discount tires direct.
