I have an older Alpine head unit in the Mrs. car that is on the blink... can't recall the model, at the moment.

It shuts down completely, then after removing the detachable face and reattaching it, it comes back on. The problem is getting progressively worse, to where sometimes I can't get it to come back on.

Anyone ever heard of this? Is it common and is there an easy fix?
