Hello..
Lemme start out by telling you how all this happened...
My system consists of one Right side speaker(cdt ka-61), and one sub (both of which are amped by separate amps in separate locations, with separate power wires, ect..) I added a Left side speaker (PG rsd, the problem was this speaker was rated for 100watts and I was amping it with 150watts, with the gains VERY low. (so basically, i had right side CDT and left side PG, both getting 150watts)
So, after about an hour of driving the new PG speaker started smoking and completely blew. it started making this weird whining noise very loudly and then went in smoke.
Now my problem is that the whining noise has not left even after I took the PG speaker out. BUT, the whining noise only comes when the engine turns on, so if I have it on "acc" it will work perfect, but as soon as I start the engine the whining noise takes over.
Here is what I've tried so far:
I changed the amp with a working amp, and the same problem.
I changed the ground to the seat bolt, secure, good connection. didnt help.
I connected the working speaker (CDT) to the headunit, and it works fine, but when i connect to the amp same problem.
so, the amp is fine, the speaker is fine, the head unit is fine, the ground is fine..
Thanks
