its like 3-3/4" blade length. it just has a small kick in the back. you lightly touch it and the blade comes flying out. kershaw calls it the speed safe system.

i had a knife like that, costed me 20 bucks, bought it from Walmart:blush:

mine was like 80, but it is 10x the quality and will last 10x longer than your $20 knife. and i highly doubt your knife is the same way. this one you just have to tap the blade and it comes out. not legal in california.

yea, i have found that most people that have authority in the wilderness are assholes. rangers, game wardens, etc...
