I've seen a lot of people have problems like this, not saying a baffle will fix it every time.

Wasn't sayin it was bad advice, it is quite common. Just think if he amped them he would get the performance he is expecting

HU power ***** , but i found a funny thing out today. My headunit is 3 way active capable which is not really rare , but its 3 way active through the internal amp too. LOL.

Or you can use a Conductive grease such as:

Infinity speakers scream but even on an amp lack bass that's just how they are.

I agree about the Kappas having a lack of mid-bass. They sound too mid-rage/high end too me, like the 400hz - 2Khz range is bumped up. You might try messing with your EQ and see if you can kill some of the mid-range/high punch so more of your power is being used for the low end and higher end...

Was the bass weaker than before you replaced the factory speakers? If so then you've wired the pos/neg wrong... the speakers will cancel each other if you did.

Also don't expect pounding bass from 6x8s even if it's powered by an external amp.
