awaiting my xenon 600.1

I recently bought two IDQ 10's from a member and I'm awaiting my amp. I decided to go with a PG xenon 600.1. I think this amp will pair up nicely with the subs. It's rated at at least 600 watts at 1-4 ohms. I don't know a lot about what kind of strain the resistance puts on an amp, but it seems that if I can get the appropriate amount of power at 4ohms my equipment would theoretically last longer than if I run at 1 ohm. Is this correct? Would there be any difference in current draw or anything that would make be want to wire it one way or the other?

P.S. I am almost done building the box, it's 1.1 cubic ft like Image Dynamics recommends and WOW this thing looks small. I double and triple checks my numbers to see if I messed up, but no, it's supposed to be that size. I'm excited to hear how they sound.

I'm guessing the way that amp works, you will have more current at 1 ohm and less current and more voltage at 4 ohms. I like to wire everything in parallel to 1 ohm, since the total inductance would be less than wiring it in 4 ohms. But yea, theoretically the lesser amount of current at 4 ohms would seem like it would put less strain, but the higher voltage might just balance it out. Also, the amp is designed to handle down to 1 ohms. From what I've heard on this forum, that amp is pretty solid so you should be good either way.
