AVIC-N2 brake workaround

Guys over on the bimmerforums.com have come up with a few different tricks.

one of the latest is wiring a toggle switch inline between the GPS so that when u want to watch a DVD u turn the GPS sensing off and then when u want to navigate u flip it back on.

You can plug into your rear camera jack and the DVD will work on the N2.

this is the work around for the avic n2. it requires no putting switches inbetween this and that and connecting shit to the rearview camera. my friend is a professional installer for 10 years and he got one. in order to make the navigation input and the dvd video work at the same time u have to ground the e-brake lead to the chassis and on the brain of the unit underneath there is a little toggle switch. this controls the input that the brain looks for if the car is moving to restrict the dvd player from working. you might have to take apart the cover to access it. u flip it to the opposite of whatever it was and ur ready to go. plain and simple
