Alright... I have an opportunity to purchase a Pioneer AVIC n1 for a great price, what I wanted to know though is if it will fit in my car. I have a 96 Eagle Talon (Eclipse). The guy at best buy said my heater controls might get in the way and prevent the screen from laying at a good angle. Any ideas? Is there any way to make the HU sit farther out so the screen lays at a better angle?

yes it can be made to work, it just depends on where you take it and how much you wanna spend.

you could probably just get away with drilling new holes in the brackets and using a spacer if its ISO mounted depending on how much clearance you need, or if you have cash to burn you can get a custom fiberglass panel made.

or they may put it in and it might look fine to you and not worry about it. the screen angle is adjustable so you may be ok.

if its a double din mount it on the lower portion. if not pay an extra 40-50bux and have them use an old gm kit #8054 with the 1" bezel and fab sumthin up. man best buy hated when i did stuff like that cuz they didnt want to take it in and i wanted to learn me sumthin new.
