I have a pioneer avic d2 that is having some serious alternator whine coming through the front rca's. even grounding the rca shields to the back of the unit doesnt get rid of the noise to an acceptable level. I was able to get around the noise by just running the speakers off the HU without an amp, but i really want to go back to my 4ch for the front...even with the subs turned way down, i feel like the lo's are just too overpowering.
As far as I understand, I just need the rca grounds inside the hu re-soldered. Does anyone know of a reliable place to get this done that charges reasonable prices? I am willing to ship, so anywhere in the conty US is fair game The only 2 places I have found are pioneer and a shop in NY, both of which have a $200 flat rate, which IMO is outrageous considering the job shouldnt take more than 15 min. I know how to solder, but im no engineer and I really dont wanna hack this up trying to save a few bucks.
Anywho, any help would be appreciated
