Avalanche 15 sub help

Hi, i just recently bought a supposedly BNIB 15" Avalanche. and i went to power it up , it makes the bass but at low volume, it has this horrible rattling sound coming from the cone, anybody know whats wrong with this thing? Thanks

i also notice, it doesn't make the noise when i push the cone in a certain way, it sounds normal until i release from pressing down on it
