Nice choice in sub but FYI $4000 is way too much to pay for what you are having done. I say get some more price quotes. Shit you could probably take a road trip up to Jersey and pay about half of that to get done and it would probably come out better //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
First, I apologize for getting that wrong. You are correct on several statements.Oh dear god no. Its NOT...I repeat....NOT an "Adire Motor". Wow...can't believe you even remarked that. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif
The motors, the designs, the nearly everything is 100% Chad and Ascendant Audio. The only thing Chas WAS using was Adire's XBL^2 technology as a part of his design process. His newest lines will no longer be using the XBL^2 technology and will be using a free base tech that apparently offers very similar performance to his current lines, if not better.
If Chad said you were getting some of the newest subs, ones with a higher power handling, then most likely you'll be getting non-XBL^2 technology subs.
Yeah that sounds like alot more work then I thought you were getting done. Still seems a little steep but if you are happy with the price and ofcourse the results, then it's all good.I understand, but having the door panels completely rebuilt to house a six, four and tweet, gutting the floor board and creating space for the kicks housing the W06s, fixing the last installers screw up on my a-pillars for my upstage and re-mounting those tweeters, building a customer amp enclosure with multiple fans to hide, secure and cool the amps, more fiberglass work in the back to enclose and allow for the 6 inch driver install, build a sub enclosure, wire everything with 0 and 2/4 gauge wire, and the price ($400) for the alpine MRV 450 along with the JL 6W0s is a lot. I checked several references for multiple installers in the area and came up with this guy as a solid choice. Thus I was not complaining about the price as last time I went cheap and was very unhappy with the results. (sort of get what you pay for situation)
where can i get some pics of the avalanche 12? half the price ? is it on the same level as far as sq?How would the Re xxx 12" compare to the Avalanche 12". This could be a good debate considering the XXX goes for 400$ a piece and Avalanche goes for 200$?
yes it is and it pointed me to this post and 154 others that dont have pics of this sub. thanks though.type in "avalanche" in the search window, its amazing

this was the answer i was looking for...thank you. i guess ill keep saving and if i can see some by then ill make my decision. thanks againcheck the web page... it will list the 12 as comming soon. He has some on hand now but with the XBL^2 technology that he is selling at a discount. Sorry for the confusion. I too was confused when i started this thread, but after talking to Chad and others here this is the situation. Chad will soon have all his products with new technology that will/should handle even more power with the same if not better results.
