Autozone alt test

you mean the one they roll out to your car, it only puts a load on the alt/battery to test it under load to see if there's a problem charging not the actual output

I remember seeing the psi Tahoe guy (98hoe is his name on caco) going to autozone and they brought out a handheld meter. If I'm wrong.. how do i test?

I've never seen a hand held version the one I always had used on my car is rather large and on a wheeled cart **** sure not hand held in any way but I have not been up there for that in about two years so maybe they have better sh*t now?

I have no clue then man maybe just give them a call and see if you need to pull the alt for amperage output testing they should be able to tell you no problem

Nah, it's free. I managed an AZ for about 5 years. Try to go by around 9-10AM, there is a lag in customer traffic at that time and you will get better attention from the employees.

We have a handheld device made by autometer (the one in the video your referring to) at the autozone I work at.. It does not however test for the exact output. It just verifies that the voltage regulator is working and the diodes or working.
