Autotek SS100.4 getting hot

So I finally got around to install my autotek ss100.4.... Well, after I installed it, I took a 10 minute drive and got off and touched the amp to check if it was hot. Well, it felt pretty hot. The gains are below half way and the ground wire is good. My component set is running at 4 ohms. So does that mean that this amp is just meant to run hot?
