Autotek MM4000.1 going into protect... wtf

disconnect all the wires from the amp and wait 5+min to give the amp reset its self it has worked for me
I thought he'd already tried this?

If not, then yeah give it a power cycle. Just unplug all power / ground / everything for a few minutes, then hook it all back up as if you were installing it new again and hope this resets the amp's internals and no protect light comes on. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

dam man, are you sending it somewhere to get it fixed? i might contact dbr on mine.
OK HOLDON!!!

DONT SELL IT ALL YET!

If its staying in protect, it could be a blown channel, which is not terribly expensive to have fixed!!!

Amp Repair Center is where I sent mine off to, should have em back within a week..

Ive gone through everything from, bad grounds, to maybe a power wire gettn cut n grounding out..

I cant figure it out-- Were both running batcaps, maybe their beatn the shit outta our amps!

I tried, i'll give it another shot tho. I pulled it completely out and then only connected the power and remote turn on after 10 minutes of it not being connected. idk //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/verymad.gif.3f39c5c2fd57527b671fad3efdfac756.gif

all the legs are ok on the fets, nothing burnt. I emailed amprepaircenter.com, gonna see what they can do. DB-R is telling me it might be the "PCB". not sure what that is

gotta go to work now //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/verymad.gif.3f39c5c2fd57527b671fad3efdfac756.gif

I'm not sure what it refers to in the world of amplifiers, but when I think of PCB I think of printed circuit boards. Which would need to be replaced if it is the circuit board that's bad //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

I had a resistor fall off internally on mine before, did the same thing. was a cheap fix.
See if you hear anything fall internally if you flip it over.
will do, when i get home from work. PLEASE LET THIS BE THE SOLUTION !!!!! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

Hey bro, check that ohm load on each sub for a blown coil??
not yet man, im still at work, i got to get a DMM anyways, so i wont be able to do that until tomorrow after work about ~5pm... have to work f'in 1 - 10pm today //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/verymad.gif.3f39c5c2fd57527b671fad3efdfac756.gif

Scott from amprepaircenter.com emailed back saying it is usually a blown channel, i'll see if something is loose/if i can fix it. if not, its probably going to be shipped there i guess, or sold AS IS //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif
