Autotek amps

I've heard praises and some serious beat downs about these amps. However, almost everyone agrees that the old models are good.

Anyways, I'm kind of intrigued with this amp in particular: M3200.2

Autotek M3200.2 1600W Max Mean Machine Series 2-Channel Amplifier

On the site it shows "Bridged, 4 ohms: 1600 watts x 1 chan." but the fuse is only rated at 60 amps

Even if it's 100% efficient, then that means (60*14.4) = 864 watts of power. If you consider the inefficiency, then that means that it makes less than half the rated power.

Basically, I want to see proof. If anyone runs these amps and loves them, why? And does anyone have any clamp results?

are you reffering to mean machine line in general, or these specific current production models? i know, the old school mean machines are real nice power, and even the rest of the old school autotek line, but that may be where you are getting the confusion. just like the old school sony mobile es, and first run explodes vs any explode for the last year is the same night and day difference, and not to be confused as the same, or similar

1600 watts RMS with 60 amps?

So their amps operate @ 180% efficiency? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wow.gif.23d729408e9177caa2a0ed6a2ba6588e.gif

That's what I was getting at. The only thing I could think of is if there was an internal fuse as well, but that would be illogical.

As such, I hold out hope for a cheap, off brand amp that puts out decent power....
