Aura or Profile?

I ran it at full tilt almost all day today, I had to drive about 200 miles today for work and it started up every time(I have a PT Cruiser with a stock 90amp alt). No capacitor just factory. I am running 4 ga through the entire setup though.

You sure it was 96x4 @ 4 ohms and not 2? That's nearly double the rated power! That seems too much if it's 203x2 bridged @ 4 ohms. If it is the case then these are definitely the most bang for the buck amps around right now.

I am 99% sure it was at 4ohms. They say that typical power at 12 volts on these is easily 75 watts per chanel and I am running 13.7 volts with the motor running so the 96 should be right, but I have been wrong in the past(only once). I will call my buddy and ask him to be sure though,

What size fuse do you have at your battery? What's the fuse size of each of the amps? I believe the 2300 has 2x 40a fuses.

I am running a 180a ANL fuse at the battery and 4ga back to the distro block. The amps only take 8ga so we did that from the block to the amps. They both have 2x40amp fuses.

chef, i would love to see more details about the benching your buddy did on the auras. any chance you can get all the details of the test?

im tellin yuh all, the arua amps are freggin awesome and if i had some monies right now i would buy them too.

killer f0cking amps for the price they are selling them DIRT *** cheap. they are seriously in the 200+ range each easily. i would not be surprised if you could buy them new (when they were new) for like 350 each.

Love my 4200. I've been running the rear channels bridged at 2 ohms to an ID overstock 12 for a while now and the amp never even so much as gets hot. Also running the front channels in stereo on a 2 ohm load as well. AND, it's mounted under my passenger seat with pretty much no air movement.
