Aura or Profile?

Hey guys I know that both companies make pretty decent budget amps. Im looking at the Aura 4 Channel RPM4200 (on Parts Express), the Profile Baja HA740, and the Profile California AP1040. The reason Im going low brow on this install is that this is for my beater standard cab pickup truck that I dont want to dump a ton of money into. I want a 4CH so I can bridge my rears for a single 10" sub that Im going to stuff behind the seat. I really like the Aura, but Im concerned about the power ratings. Now I used to own a Aura Force 2CH about 5 years ago and that thing rocked my face off, but I have never owned a Profile product. How would you guys say these two companies compare agianst each other, what amp would you get and why? Thanks!

I've installed both for peole in the past. Both do rated power and are decent looking high value per dollar amps. But a guy over on the PE board put up some pics of his RPM4200 internals and it was stout! So based on a little beefier build I would go with the Aura.

i would go with aura.....i have seen alot of profile amps smoke...but the california series are better than the baja series.....haven't seen alot of aura's in action but the few i did..did thier job...plus if you had experience with aura and liked them you should be confident in future use...

My audio folder on my server got axed when I changed over to my new host. I had lots of gut shots of the aura's. Solid nice amp. Worth twice as much as they are asking by amp standards.

Sorry... I was referring to when you were talking about the Baja and California amp lines from Profile. As for Profile vs. Aura, I am in the same situation. I have my CL600 for my comps, but was thinking of the Aura 2300 instead for them. In your senario, since you haven't purchased either yet, I would choose the Aura. For the customer service aspect, I can only talk about Profile as I have only dealt with them before.
