Hi,

Right now I do not have rear speakers in my car. I was able to find a good 4" speaker for the front doors through this forum which was Aura. I'm running a bazooka 6" amplified bass tube and I have an alpine cda 105. I have not had rear speakers in 4 years and don't know if I should add the aura 6 1/2 speakers when I install the 4 inch speakers. Will adding the rears be worth it? any suggestions or help would be appreciated.

Since nobody can seem to answer this thread, I'll ask a different question. What do you do about rear fill when your front speakers are a lot smaller than your rear? I just am looking for advice about an install I'm about to do.

What kind of vehicle? Myself dont care to much for rearfill. My h/u gives me the option to turn off the internal amp so I can add rearfill whenever I like. I have some Alpine 6.5" Type S coaxials for my rearfill. I only turn them on when I take my son to school or whenever he is riding with me. Was the 4" speakers up front your only option? You may be ok with just them as I dont think that the Bazooka will produce overpowering bass. Also, are your front speakers going to run off the h/u or are you amping them.

4" is the only option for the corolla. They are running off my HU and the bazooka just adds the lower end needed to compensate for the 4".

its really personal preference man. If you can find a decent set of 6.5"s for the rear then go for it. See if you like the difference in sound and if not then just fade them out.

It's a 96 corolla by the way. Sorry I didnt answer that earlier. Anyway, appreciate your help on this. I think I'll just leave them out.

Since your limited to only 4s up front...The 6.5s would give you some midbass from the rear...the tweeters may be too bright but you can clip the wires going to the tweeters...so the 6.5s would serve as midbass only...then wire in a simple coil for a 6db cutoff so they will be band passed by using your decks HP filter ...I think Id do a 12db slope since thats what your deck is ...hp them from deck at 80hz...then buy two 1.13 coils and two 50v non polarized 35 mfd caps if they are 4 ohm.....if 3 ohm you'll need two of each of these 1.4 coils and 75mfd np cap...This will give you a 800hz 12db filter too keep the highs out of them....

Couldn't i just put in component woofers instead of cutting the tweeter wires?
