AURA 2" Microwoofer Review

how do they sound tho. i mean i would like to hear them croseed 500-3k and see how they would work for midrange

we xovered them about 120-180 and they sounded great, a little tinny sounding when it wasnt inside of some enclosure, but once we put it in the plastic container the bass notes really brightened up. If you had like 2 per door it would rock....would be really great if your ride is lacking in places for big midranges.

I can see why alot of contractors have been buying the wall mount versions for home theater setups.

You're asking an awful lot for a 2" driver to move enough air to have decent midbass response, especially when not horn-loaded. Get enough of them, maybe, but then you're looking at some funky off-axis behavior when you get above 10KHz or so...

what about a Line Array system with say... 25 of them? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif

like that new alpine thing that just came out.

i dont know much about those setups but it sounds like it would be interesting to try

just one in a plastic container sealed off with some alumnium tape had plenty of midbass for me, so I dont know what everyone else is talking about, considering I have one sitting on my desk and I know what I hear comming out of it. I know *I* will end up buying more for my doors when I go for modified MECA SQL.
