audioque hdc3 with psi recone..

this is a hdc3 motor and basket..

The recone is a 3" fw 66mm aluminum coil with 3 spiders..

box is 3.4 tuned to 31..

needless to say this box is built to be flat for a sub I was prototyping so it's not ideal..

amp is a rd 1750 ran at .5

I have 2 Kinetik 2400s and a stock alt..

voltage is about 12.6 to 13.2

As compared to the aq no doubt that the spiders are a he'll of alot better for high excursion..

it simply sounds better as you past about 16mm excursion..

i didn't hit it super hard yet but as far as I can tell it has some killer throw..

with this coil it should have close to 22mm xmax..

I gave it a hour or so to break in starting with a few wards to a couple hundred freeair..

it's nothing like those non linear spiders. spiders it doesn't take long to break them in..

listened to a few tracks and this woofer is definitely louder than the aq but I'll gave to wait and it's also sitting about half the load as well..

all in all this woofer turns out to be one of the sickest daily drivers I've yet to hear with this amount of power..

I know it's sound 142+ at the head rest..

sadly my current configuration does meter very well sealed up in fact it's loudest with both windows down but it's easily 145 at the dash windows down..

its peaky between about 28 and 45 it's drops Dow to 20hz with pretty easily..

I'm going to do 3.75 tuned to 35 with 60in^2of port area .

this is going to give me decent output down to 30 with alot more output between 50 and 60..

after more play I'll update this..

all in all not a bad combination..

as far as structure I use single spacing..

I've never been a great writer..

as far as context I have spell correct on and it makes mistakes..

I've played the driver alittle more today and this woofer would be awesome with better cooling all in all it's pretty impressive..

id keep it at 2k for music..

my box isn't ideal.. when I change it to the correct alignment I'll meter it..

if anyone cares I changed the tune/box size

3.8 tuned to 37..

abit too high of a tuning but it still gets low..

alot more output above 50.. output fell a tad around 40 and a good deal around 30..

I'd recommend 3.75 tuned to 34 with 50in^2 of port area and a clean 2kw..

I like the woofer.. for just throwing a few parts together it's a killer driver..
