Has anywhere heard the 4.0 line of audioque? I just seen them on the website the other day and Ive been thinking about buying one

Just came out recently. Audioque is great for SPL and can handle much more power than rated. Since the 4.0 is new I don't know how they are, but I'm sure it would be worth the investment to purchase.

Did they really only rate them at 1500w? That's terrible. We all know the truth on that. That tells me that they don't have confidence in something if the rating is that low.

50% more than the HDC3. The spiders are also the much larger on the new ones due to the new baskets. Its around 9" IIRC

They really aren't good for daily that's why they are rated at 1500 Wrms, but can handle much more power for burps. Like I said before, they are a great SPL woofer. Not for SQ nor the greatest for daily setups.. This is for someone looking to see good numbers on a low budget..

Idk, they, in my opinion, should be able to play better than the HDC3 daily. I realize they are a SPL woofer, but I feel like people are going to want to run these on crazy amounts of power daily. That seems to be the forum boner.

I know what you mean.. I wouldn't use them for anything unless I had an extra vehicle I planed on strictly competing with a burp box on a low budget.

I dont get why people keep saying that the hdc3's have no sq? I own an hdc3 and the sq on it isnt bad at all. Sounds actually pretty good. Compared to a lot of other subs ive heard, these surpass it by a long run.

x2. My HDC3 sounded very good, in the right box (comparatively).

My HDC3 sounds okay, not the best i've heard, then again my coil is a little toasty..

Probably better than most woofers in its class though, personally haven't had any spider problems.
