I have two sub amps; two of the older MTX 1501D's. I don't want to use both on my next install unless I have to.
The question is can I run two 12" Audiopulse Revo's rated at 1500watt RMS each off only one MTX 1501D Putting out 750RMS per each sub? I heard the power rating on the REVO is an over-rating, I am just wondering if in a sealed box 1500Watt Max per sub will get them to thier rated Xmax of 28mm. I don't want to blow any woofers, I just want to get the most excursion but not necesarily SPL out of the subs for the low notes. I would rather keep my second 1501D as a back up, and save the hastle of installing an extra amp.
Would I be better off with the Audiopulse brand, ID max subs or is there a better value sub with a high Xmax suited for SQ in a sealed box?
