Thats not true. I bought my JL 300/1 slash series v2 off of crutchfield on sale for $1970, down from $2700. They said they've never even heard of audiopulse or that sundown crap, and they have over 20 years in car audio experience!

According to cotjones, 1 JL watt is like 2 watts from another company...I bet their subs are rated the same way; the W7 can handle 2kw easily. The 1kw rating is if you're using JL amps.
