Both motor and Top assembly are used, the top assembly is fritosaregood's old one with one set of leads shorted to 12V so needles to say only one coil functions, lol so lets call it 1K rms, still has 30mm Xmax and in 3 cubes sealed it lookes very promising with an F3 in the upper 20's.

Sub works fine if considered a single 2 ohm, lol. Drop it in 3 cubes sealed with around 1K-1.5K rms @ 2 ohms and enjoy an f3 of just under 27Hz, lol. Works like I intended it too from what I had laying around, lol. Sub handles 1300 free air down to around 20Hz when the suspensions starts running out of excursion capabilities (3.5" P-P). It could be looked at as partially working I suppose if you need a 1 ohm or 4 ohm final load, but if ya make good power @ 2 ohms it works fine up to about 1500rms, lol. Even cools better than the 3HP motor did, not alot better, but some thanks to the extra holes drilled in the motor, lol. Temp went from 68F (ambient) up to just over 98F during a Sine wave torture session to make sure it was gonna stay together and not kill over.

intrested, so if this was back in working condition what would it handle? also what would be required to make it work 100% again? complete recone or new tinsel leads?
