Its how you connect both amps together and get one output between the pair of amps. Two ap15001 is the same exact thing as the ap30001 amp, its just two 1500's inside one case already strapped.
So yes, you can run one amp for now, then buy another later and it would be the same as the ap3000 amp anyways..
